There are several templates included each month so that you have one per week. I am in love! They’re easy to fill out for the teacher and they are very easy for families to read at home. ![]() After spending a good 100 hours designing and perfecting them, they are now done! Throughout the past years so many teachers reached out asking for a weekly template. Like I mentioned before, I’ve been sending home monthly ones this whole time. Bonus for the teacher: My students would remind me of events happening during the week…something that is super handy for a forgetful teacher. They loved checking it daily to see what was going on. My students began putting them in their homework binders. Once I began sending them out, there was no turning back! Parents finally knew what was going on and they often commented how much they appreciated getting a newsletter. I stuck with the monthly format because that is what we were used to. How did I know families weren’t reading them? Parents kept asking me questions that were addressed in the newsletter.īecause of this, we began sending out our own. That’s way too much info! Parents will not read those newsletters if they are overwhelming. The office was sending home one newsletter with information for the whole school. I realized that they were just too jam packed. ![]() My school sent out monthly ones for parents and they were NOT being read. parents weren’t reading our school newsletters: Let’s quickly discuss why I began sending out newsletters.
